What "cashless" means
At a network provider, your member never pays for covered treatment. The facility confirms cover with Medicare, treats the member, and bills us directly. There is no claim form to fill in and no waiting for a refund.
- • Show the digital medical card at reception.
- • The provider verifies the member and benefit class with us.
- • Treatment proceeds within the covered limits.
- • Medicare settles the invoice with the provider directly.
Using a guarantee letter
For planned admissions, surgery or high-cost treatment, the provider needs written confirmation from us before starting. That confirmation is the guarantee letter.
- 1The doctor recommends admission or a procedure and shares the estimate.
- 2The member or provider contacts Medicare with the diagnosis and estimate.
- 3We confirm cover and issue the guarantee letter to the facility, usually the same day.
- 4Treatment proceeds cashless up to the guaranteed amount.
